Ralph Maimon
is the principal attorney of the Law Office of Ralph Maimon, P.S.,
located Madison Valley area in Seattle, Washington. His practice
includes litigation in the commercial, real estate, personal injury and
professional negligence fields. His law practice is complemented
by transactional work in real estate and business law.
Ralph’s
many years of experience in both the transactional and litigation sides
of the law has given him a unique and critical perspective for the
practice of preventative law for his clients. He believes very strongly
in practicing preventative law, but, when litigation becomes necessary,
he is meticulous in discovery and trial preparation. At the same
time, he also knows that the courtroom can be a risky place for many
clients, so he has honed his negotiation skills for either direct
settlement discussions or through alternative dispute resolution.
Ralph has served and chaired on many prestigious committees of the
Washington State Bar Association and of the King County Bar
Association, including its Medical-Legal Liaison, Judicial Screening,
Fair Campaign Practices and Judiciary and the Courts Committees . He
was a Board Member, then Vice President and, in 2001-2002, became
President of the King County Bar Association. He is a
long-time Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice
(formerly "Washington State Trial Lawyers Association"). He has
been named a “Super Lawyer” for 3 consecutive years by Washington Law and Politics and has consistently (for over 25 years) maintained an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell,
based on ratings by fellow attorneys. “A” represents the highest rating
for legal skills and “V” is the highest rating for ethics in law
practice. He is frequently selected as an arbitrator under King
County Superior Court’s Mandatory Arbitration program. He has been a
presenter for lawyers' continuing legal education on matters related to
civil litigation, including how to work with expert witnesses and the
court rules relating to the conduct of depositions.
Ralph
is a Seattle native who earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees
from the University of Washington. In 1969, he graduated With
Honors in Political Science and, in 1973, earned his Juris Doctor
degree. After graduation, Ralph worked as a law clerk for a
Federal Judge in the United States District Court, Western District of
Washington. He then served as a Deputy King County Prosecuting
Attorney, trying felony jury cases for crimes ranging from burglary to
kidnapping, rape and murder. Four and a half years later, Ralph
began his civil practice with a mid-sized law firm on the Eastside,
where he practiced for 29 years, 26 of which as a principal
shareholder. Tiring of the increasingly merciless “reverse commute”
between Bellevue and Seattle, where he and his wife Esther live, in
early 2007, Ralph moved his law practice (with his entire clientele
intact) to Seattle. He was joined in the move by his two outstandingly
experienced, skilled and personable paralegals, Winnie Epstein and Judy
Harel.
It is the mission of the Law Office of Ralph
Maimon, P.S. to provide professional, ethical, prompt and effective
legal services to all of its clients.
